VASSILIS HASSANDRINOS

Born in Volos in 1980 and holds a degree in Greek Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens specializing in Linguistics. He has a degree of Byzantine Ecclesiastical Music (“Excellent” by general vote) from the “Karkala” Conservatory in Volos and a degree of Harmony (“Excellent” by general vote) from the Conservatory “Orfeio” of Athens. From 2001 up to date he has been serving as protopsaltisin the Church of Ag. Nicholaos in Kallithea, Athens, and since 2006 he has been teaching Byzantine music to children and adults as part of the parish activities. He has participated as a chorister in concerts and festivals of byzantine and polyphonic music in Greece and Cyprus. He is a partner of ΕΝ ΧΟΡΔΑΙΣ & ΟΡΓΑΝΟΙΣ, giving Byzantine Music lessons.
