ALEXIS PAPPOS
Born in 1965 in Piraeus to parents from Samos island. He graduated from the «Opera» Conservatory in Athens with a degree in Guitar, Music Theory and Harmony. Since 1990 he has been working as a professional musician, playing guitar and double bass in concerts, music events and venues, recording studios and giving music lessons at various Athens Conservatories. He has collaborated with many Greek artists (including Kostas Makedonas, PantelisThalassinos, YiannisKotsiras, Melina Kana, Dimitris Mitropanos, Sofia Papazoglou, Lizeta Kalimeri, Katerina Kouka, Eleni Tsaligopoulou, Gerasimos Andreatos, Ieroklis Michailidis). He is one of the main partners of the school ΕΝ ΧΟΡΔΑΙΣ & ΟΡΓΑΝΟΙΣ {Η Μεγάλη του Μάρκου Σχολή}, giving folk guitar and double bass lessons.
My love for music and children was the motive for me to get involve with the teaching of folk music. The same way we learned it from the old musicians. With my knowledge and experience I hope to motivate children and transform their choice in action and knowledge and drive them one step closer to success.
