ARISTOS VAMVAKOUSIS

Born in 1973 in Syros, Aristos has been involved in folk music and bouzouki since the age of eight. Since 1993 he has been working as a professional musician. He has collaborated with many Greek artists (including: Vangelis Korakakis, Giorgos Margaritis, Eleni Vitali, Manolis Mitsias, Giorgos Dalaras, Sofia Papazoglou, Gerasimos Andreatos, Lizeta Kalimeri, Maria Soultatou, Babis Goles, Andreas Karakotas, Stelios Vamvakaris, Areti Ketime, Panagiotis Lalezas, Lena Alkaiou, Aspasia Stratigou, Nantia Karagianni, Afentoula Razeli) and composers (indicatively M. Plessas, G. Hatzinasios, G. Spanos, S. Xarhakos). In 2008 he set up his own music workshop in Syros and is one of the main collaborators of ΕΝ ΧΟΡΔΑΙΣ & ΟΡΓΑΝΟΙΣ. He teaches bouzouki, baglama, tzouras and guitar. Τhrough his experience and knowledge he imparts his love and passion for music to the younger generation.

In the future I would like to see the organization growing and passing into the hands of young people and with the fonts that they will get by us, take it one step further and pass it over to the next generation of folk music lovers.
